Re-enable plugin in Outlook 2013 and 2016

Introduction

This document explains how to reactivate the Zivver Office Plugin when Outlook has disabled the plugin. You can recognize this by the announcement “Outlook has disabled the plug-in.” Outlook can disable a plugin if it slows Outlook. This can happen due to just a few milliseconds of delay. By enabling the plug-in manually, you indicate that you would like to continue using Zivver.

This document only describes procedures for use with Outlook 2013 and 2016.

Re-enable the plugin

  1. Click File at the top left of Outlook.
  2. Click Slow and Disabled Add-ins A new window opens.
  3. Locate the Zivver Office Plugin in the list.
  4. Click Always enable this add-in.
    The plugin is switched on again. You can send and read Zivver messages again.

Alternative method

If the steps in Re-enable the plugin do not solve, do these steps below:

  1. Click File, top left in Outlook.
  2. Go to Settings.
    A new window opens.
  3. Select the Add-ons tab.
  4. Then click Disabled Add-ons in the drop-down menu below.
  5. Click Start
  6. Find the Zivver Office Plugin in the list.
  7. Click Activate.
  8. Then click COM Add-ins in the drop-down menu.
  9. Find the Zivver Office Plugin in the list.
  10. Check the Zivver Office plugin.
  11. Click OK.
    The plugin is switched on again. You can now communicate securely via Zivver.
