Set a personal access code for a contact in your address book

Introduction

How do you set a personal access code for a recipient in the Zivver WebApp? You use a personal access code when you want to send a secure message but cannot use the recipient’s mobile number. Learn more about the use and security of an Access Code

Zivver automatically saves the access code when you send a message with an access code. However, it is also possible to predefine a personal access code for recipients in your address book.

First, we will explain how to create a new contact. Go to Chapter 3 if your contact is already in your address book.

Creating a New Contact

  1. Log in to the WebApp.
  2. In the left sidebar, click people All.
    Recipients are automatically added to this list when you send them a Zivver message.
  3. Click the person_add button at the bottom.
    A new window will open.
  4. Enter the email address.
  5. Click .

Setting a Personal Access Code for a Contact in Your Address Book

  1. In the left sidebar, click people All.
  2. Click the contact in the list.
    The contact details will be displayed on your screen.
  3. Enter the personal access code next to Personal access code.
    Always communicate an access code before sending it to the recipient.

Note
The mobile number is used automatically if a mobile number is saved for the contact. A mobile number is more secure than an access code. Learn more about the security of an SMS code and Access Code
