Delegate your account

Introduction

You can delegate the use of your Zivver account to the holder of a different Zivver account. A delegate can send and receive messages with your account. But a delegate cannot change your password and account settings.

Delegation is useful when multiple people share a “professional identity”. Examples are legal workers, secretarial workers.

Users of free accounts can delegate their accounts themselves. But users with an organization account must speak to their administrator.

Procedure for free accounts

Add delegates to your account

  1. Open the Zivver WebApp.
  2. Click the Personal Settings icon settings
  3. Click Delegation in the sidebar.
  4. Click Add
    An input window pops up
  5. Enter an email address corresponding to an existing Zivver account.
  6. Click Add
    The delegate can now switch to your account to read and send messages on your behalf.

Remove delegates from your account

To remove a delegate account from the list of accounts which can send and receive messages on your behalf:

  1. Go to the Zivver WebApp.
  2. Click the Personal Settings icon settings
  3. Click Delegation in the sidebar.
  4. Click the delete forever icon delete_forever adjacent to the delegate account that you want to remove.
    The delegation is now canceled, the former delegate can no longer read and send messages on your behalf
