Introduction
This document describes the changes introduced in Zivver Office Plugin release v5.7.5.
Release highlights
This release contains a number of key bug fixes and provides additional language support in the notification language selection list.
New or improved functionality
- New languages (Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish) are now available for use in the notification language selection list . This allows the Sender to select the appropriate language, which will make it easier for the Recipient to read the message.
Bug fixes
- IM-144 - Edge WebView2 engine can now reuse an active session token of your identity provider, that already exists in Edge, to log in to Zivver seamlessly without having to enter a username and password.
- IM-146 - Fixed a rare issue where Zivver message content was being replaced by the content of a normal message that had recently been received if another email was viewed quickly after pressing the send button.
- IM-176 - Fixed a rare issue where the Zivver Office Plugin automatically tried to log in for the email address of the Sender of a message.
- IM-132 - Adding recipients from the Zivver Contact Book via ‘Zivver Contacts’ or ‘Recipients’/‘Quick Add’ now correctly adds a contact to the Zivver message.
- IM-137 - Fixed a bug where In some scenarios an attachment, such as an inline image, was not picked up by the Zivver Office Plugin. Because of that this attachment was not checked for viruses or classified.
- IM-137 - Attachments removed via the Zivver interface are now also removed from the Outlook interface and vice versa.
- IM-133 - When closing a draft message, users are now prompted to save the draft, and drafts are saved in the proper state with Zivver activated.
- IM-127 - Outlook no longer crashes when trying to save an existing draft message after restarting.
- IM-51 - Attachments are no longer added twice when a user tries to add an outlook attachment via inline reply for the first time.
- IM-53 - Fixed an issue where users were required to login to the Office Plugin despite the session duration being set to ~1 year.
- IM-50 - Zivver is now automatically enabled in Outlook when Zivver-toggle is off and user uploads a folder via the paperclip icon in the Zivver Bar.
Known issues
Below is a list of known issues that exist within this version. Where available, workarounds are described.
Issue: IM-302 - When sending a message to an internal recipient that doesn’t have a Zivver account, sometimes the message is not send after hitting the Send button. This situation might occur during a pilot test when internal recipients do not always have a Zivver account yet.
Workaround: Clicking ‘send’ twice will successfully send the message.
Issue: IM-117 - Logging in and out of a Zivver account multiple times in a row, might cause a Single Sign-On (SSO) login to hang.
Workaround: Restart Microsoft Outlook.
Issue: ENG-912 - Users may intermittently become stuck on the “checking message” screen in the Zivver Office Plugin after sending a message. Workaround: Restart Microsoft Outlook then re-send the message.
Issue: IM-92 - Users see the error
unable to move the items. An unknown error has occurred
when they try to move messages to and from a functional-account folder.Workaround: Deactivate ‘Save Zivver Messages Unencrypted’ to prevent the error from happening.
Issue: IM-103 - The Zivver Office Plugin may not be visible, but active according to Outlook for some customers which use Plugin Assisted Mail Submission (PAMS).
Issue: IM-104 - Customers using functional accounts in Online mode may find Zivver messages are no longer visible after being moved to a sub-folder.
Workaround: Messages can be found in and moved from the ‘Synchronization’ > ‘Conflicts’ folder to the desired folder.
Issue: IM-277 - When attaching a folder to a secure message via the Zivver clip and saving the message as a draft, the folder is not sent to the recipient when sending the message.
Workaround: Add the folder to a secure message via the ’Attach File’ option on the Outlook ribbon .
Note: When using this workaround, you can’t send any attachment that is larger than is allowed by your mail server. As adding an attachment via the Outlook “Attach File” button is limited in size, even though Zivver is turned on for that message.
Issue: IM-295 - When a user manually selects a folder in the plugin settings to save sent messages, sent item copies are not saved in this folder.
Workaround: The message can be retrieved by opening the Zivver WebApp.
Issue: IM-149 - When ‘SMS Code’ is set as verification method, some users may intermittently be unable to add the country code/mobile number via the Verification Methods window.
Workaround: Restart Microsoft Outlook and retry.
Issue: IM-220 - When using an Outlook template for Zivver messages, font switches size from regular to large upon entering text in the template.
