Introduction

How to adjust your personal settings in the Zivver Office Plugin. With the personal settings, you can adjust the Office plugin to your liking. Possibly you cannot change certain settings. For this, contact the service desk of your organization.

Personal settings

1. Open Outlook.
2. Click the Zivver tab at the top.
3. Click Settings settings .
   A new screen opens showing Zivver settings.

Place a check mark in the Use default column to use the default setting for your organization. With Use default you use the settings that your organization recommends. Remove the check mark by clicking it and choose in the column Off/On whether you want to switch a setting on or off.
If you can’t remove a check mark, it means that your organization has chosen the corresponding setting to be mandatory. Contact the service desk of your organization.

Turn a setting on or off using the switch in the Off/On column. You can turn a setting on or off yourself if there is no checkmark in the Standard column. A setting is on when the ball on the switch is moved to the right. A setting is off when the ball on the switch is moved to the left.

Explanation of personal settings

• Collect information about non-Zivver mails
  Turn this option ON if you want Zivver to log information about ignored warnings as well as to whom and when users send messages.

• Activate ‘Secure Mailing’ after a business rule recommends it
  Turn this option ON if you want Zivver to automatically turn on ‘Secure Mail’ when a user receives a warning from a business rule.

• Show newest message on top
  Turn this option ON if you want the newest messages to be displayed at the top of the conversation.
  

  Match this setting with the way emails in Outlook are displayed.

• Save sent Zivver messages unencrypted
  Turn this option ON if you want all Zivver messages to be automatically stored in unencrypted form after sending. This means that messages can be read in every e-mail program, but if, for example, your laptop is stolen, you are not protected against a data breach.

• Save received Zivver messages unencrypted
  Turn this option ON if you want all Zivver messages to be automatically stored in unencrypted form after reading them. This means that messages can be read in every e-mail program after this, but if the laptop is stolen you are not protected against a data breach.

• ‘Secure mailing’ for every message
  Turn this option ON if you want every new message to be sent securely with Zivver.

• Also apply my signature settings to Zivver replies Turn this option ON if you want Zivver to automatically append your email signature to replies, not just to messages which start a new conversation.

• Add securely sent mail to the following folders:
  Zivver automatically places sent messages in your Sent Items folder. Click the add icon add_circle to add another folder. Zivver then places sent messages at the specified location.
