Recover account without 2FA
Question
How can you recover access to your account if you lost your 2FA?
Answer
There are several ways to regain access to your account:
Use an alternative login method if available
If you set up both the SMS code and the Authenticator app as 2FA methods but cannot use on of them, choose the alternative method. Click Choose alternative verification method when prompted for the 6-digit code.
Use the backup codes
You saved backup codes on your computer after setting up 2FA. You can use one of these backup codes instead of the SMS code or the code from the Authenticator app after logging in with your email address and password. Usually, backup codes are saved in the Users\username\Downloads
folder on your computer. The filename typically contains the words Zivver and backup codes. Once you regain access to your account, you must reset your 2FA method.

Contact the Zivver admin of your organization
If you are part of an organization, the service desk or admin can recover your account. They can remove your 2FA, allowing you to log in without it.
Send the admin these instructions on how to proceed.
