Merge accounts

In the Zivver WebApp, an administrator can merge two existing accounts by adding one existing account as an alias to another account.

Users can log in with either the primary email address or an alias. The password is the same for both. Messages sent to an alias are delivered to the primary account mailbox. Currently, it is only possible to send messages from the primary email address.

  • You must have a claimed domain.
  • You cannot merge an administrator account with a user account or a functional account. The reverse is possible.
  • You cannot merge accounts if the email address is already an alias instead of a user account or functional account.
Warning
You cannot undo the merge.
  1. Log in to the Zivver WebApp.
  2. Click Organization Settings.
  3. Expand User administration.
  4. Click Accounts.
  5. Click next to the account for which you want to add an alias.
  6. Scroll to Mail aliases.
  7. Click .
  8. Enter an existing account.
  9. Click .
  10. In the new window, click .
  11. Optional: Make the alias the primary email address with .
