Manually update the ZivverAccountKey
Introduction
Some situations may require you to update the ZivverAccountKey in Zivver — for example, when migrating from one source system for account provisioning to another. This manual describes how to update the ZivverAccountKey for users using the Zivver Synctool. It is currently not possible to update the ZivverAccountKey with Zivver Cloud Sync.
Only update the
ZivverAccountKey when instructed to do so by Zivver Support. Updating the ZivverAccountKey incorrectly can block your users from logging in to Zivver via Single Sign-On.Procedure
- Check the Synctool prerequisites.
- Download the latest version of the Zivver Synctool.
- Unzip the Synctool to a folder on your computer.
- Open the
Zivver.SyncTool.exefile. - Click .
- Select the location to save the new profile and enter
Update ZivverAccountKeyas the profile name. - Click Save.
- Expand
Target (Zivver).
- Click Connection.
- Enter the API Key used for Cloud Sync in the API-key field.
Alternatively, create a new API Key in the Admin portal. - Click to verify the connection.
- Expand
Sources.
- Click Overview.
- Click .
- Under
Sources, expand the newly created Exchange source.
- Click Connection.
- Select Exchange Online with MFA login as the Exchange type.
- Under User name, enter an Exchange Online account that has read access to all mailboxes and groups within Exchange Online.
- Click to verify the connection.
- In the left menu, click Users.
- Enable Get users from Exchange.
- Click .
- In the left menu, click Groups.
- Disable Get groups from Exchange.
- Optional: If you want to update the ZivverAccountKey only for specific users, enable a source filter:
- In the left menu, click Source filter.
- Enable Enable Exchange source filtering.
- Select EmailAddresses as the Filter variable.
- Enter the email addresses of the users you want to include as Filter text. Separate multiple addresses with a semicolon (
;). - Enable Positive filter.
- In the left menu, expand
Syncing.
- Click Synchronization Options.
- Enable Update the password/accountkey for all users in local data.
- Make sure all other options are disabled.
- In the top-left corner, click
Manual Synchronization.
- Click to load and order the data.
- Confirm the changes that will be synchronized.
- Click to start the synchronization.
After the synchronization completes successfully, the ZivverAccountKey for the selected users will be updated.
