Configure and manage Zivver
Use Zivver Trusted Networks with identity provider for SSO
Can you use the Zivver feature Trusted networks when you also use an identity provider (IdP) for SSO?
Answer
We advise not to do this.
Consider the following reasons:
- The features Skip two-factor authentication (2FA) in these networks and Block access outside these networks are also available in your IdP, such as AD FS or Entra ID. These can usually be configured at a more granular level.
- Hard-coded IP addresses can become a source of errors and require maintenance. If the IP addresses or ranges change, users might unexpectedly be prompted for 2FA, leading to a poor user experience. If you configure Block access outside these networks, you might even become unable to log in to Zivver.
- The usefulness of configuring IP addresses is also decreasing, as more users switch between mobile devices and laptops, use dual stack (IPv4/IPv6), or connect through VPNs when accessing the internet.
