Exclude disclaimer from Smart Classification
Your mail server may add (legal) disclaimers to outbound emails. It is recommended to let Zivver ignore the content of the disclaimer when classifying emails for sensitive data. If your mail server adds disclaimers to outbound emails, please follow the instructions below for Exchange Online, or add the HTML tag to your preferred disclaimer-adding software.
Follow the steps below to exclude your disclaimer from Smart Classification:
- Contact the Zivver Support team to request exclusion of the disclaimer from Smart Classification.
- Go to the Exchange Admin Center.
- Click on mail_outline Mail flow in the menu on the left.
- Click on Rules.
- Search for the rule that adds your disclaimer.
- Click the name of the rule.
- Click content_paste_go Edit rule conditions.
- Scroll down to the Do the following * section.
- Click on the edit icon next to the disclaimer text.
- At the top of the existing text, add a new line with the following content:
<p style=" position: absolute; width: 1px; height: 1px; padding: 0; margin: -1px; overflow: hidden; clip: rect(0, 0, 0, 0); white-space: nowrap; border: 0; "> -- <br /><br /> </p>
This is the special tag that tells the Zivver Gateway to ignore all text below it.
- Click Save.
- Click Save again.
- Click Done.
Your disclaimer rule is now updated to start with a tag that tells the Zivver Gateway to ignore the rest of the disclaimer.
