Introduction

With Zivver, you can securely send messages, such as invoices, directly from the Praktijkdata EPD.

To send secure email from this application, you need a business Zivver account in combination with the Zivver Mail Submission add-on. Mail Submission requires an Ultimate subscription and a contract that includes Mail Submission. To activate Mail Submission, contact sales@zivver.com.

Getting started

To send secure email from Praktijkdata, you need a business Zivver account. The steps below allow you to check whether your account is a business account and which organization you are a member of. Repeat these steps for each email address you use in Praktijkdata.

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://app.zivver.com.
  2. Log in with your email address and password.
  3. Go to Personal Settings settings.
  4. Click account_circle Profile in the top-left corner.
  5. At the top of your profile, you will see the name of the organization you are a member of:
    Your account is part of [name of your organization]
  6. Your account is suitable for sending secure email from Praktijkdata.
Note
If you do not see the text Your account is part of [name of your organization], but you do have a business account, ask the administrator of your organization to invite you.

Setting up Mail Submission in Zivver

To enable secure email in Praktijkdata, you use the Zivver Mail Submission functionality. You must be an administrator to configure this.

  1. Go to SMTP credentials.
  2. Click .
  3. Enter a description.
    For example, “Praktijkdata”.
  4. Click .
    A new screen opens showing a username and password. These details are shown only once. Make sure to store them securely.
  5. Click .

You have now generated an SMTP username and SMTP password. You will enter these details in Praktijkdata later. Make sure to store them safely.

Setting up secure email in Praktijkdata

  1. Start Praktijkdata.
  2. Go to Beheer > Emailaccounts.
  3. Click Nieuw e-mailaccount.
  4. Select Email as the account type.
  5. Enter a name.
    For example, “Zivver”.
  6. Enter the email address for which you have a Zivver account.
  7. For incoming messages, select Geen as the protocol.
  8. Under outgoing messages, enter the following details:
    • Set the server to smtp.zivver.com.
    • For Login, enter the username from the previous chapter Mail submission instellen in Zivver.
  9. For type, select Eigen provider.
  10. Set the server to smtp.zivver.com.
  11. For Login, enter the username from the previous chapter Mail submission instellen in Zivver.
    Warning
    Do not enter the email address of a Zivver account here. You use SMTP credentials to send messages via Zivver using Mail Submission. At this step, enter the SMTP Username, not the email address of a Zivver account.
  12. For Wachtwoord, enter the password from the previous chapter.
    Warning
    Do not enter the password of a Zivver account here. You use SMTP credentials to send messages via Zivver using Mail Submission. At this step, enter the SMTP Password, not the password of a Zivver account.
  13. Set the port to 587.
  14. Click Instellingen testen. If the test is successful, continue to the next step.
  15. Under rechten, link the account to the relevant person.
  16. Optionally set a signature.
  17. Click Voltooien.

You can now send secure messages from Praktijkdata.
