Introduction

With Zivver, you can securely send messages directly from Novadent – for example, invoices.

To send secure emails from this application, you need a business Zivver account in combination with the Zivver Mail Submission add-on. Mail Submission requires an Ultimate subscription and a contract that includes Mail Submission. To activate Mail Submission, contact sales@zivver.com.

Getting Started

To send secure emails from Novadent, you need a business Zivver account. Follow the steps below to easily check whether your account is a business account and which organization you belong to. Repeat these steps for each email address you use in Novadent.

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://app.zivver.com.
  2. Log in with your email address and password.
  3. Go to Personal Settings.
  4. At the top of your profile, you will see the name of the organization you belong to. It will display:
    Your account is part of [name of your organization]
  5. Your account is now ready to send secure emails from Novadent.

If you do not see the text Your account is part of [name of your organization], but you do have a business account, ask your organization’s administrator to invite you.

Setting up Mail Submission in Zivver

To set up secure emailing in Novadent, use the Zivver Mail Submission functionality. You must be an administrator to configure this.

  1. Go to SMTP credentials.
  2. Click .
  3. Enter a description.
    For example, “Novadent”.
  4. Click .
    A new window will open showing a username and password. These credentials are displayed only once. Save them securely!
  5. Click .

You have now generated an SMTP username and SMTP password. Enter these credentials in Novadent as instructed. Keep the SMTP username and password from the steps above safe.

Setting up secure emailing in Novadent

  1. Launch Novadent.
  2. Go to Employees.
  3. Select a declarant.
  4. Click Zivver SETTINGS.
  5. Enter the following details:
    a. In Username, enter the username from the previous chapter Setting up Mail Submission in Zivver.
    Warning
    Do not enter a Zivver account email here. Use SMTP credentials to send messages via Zivver with Mail Submission. At this step, enter SMTP Username, not the email address of a Zivver account.
    b. In Password, enter the password from the previous chapter.
    Warning
    Do not enter a Zivver account password here. Use SMTP credentials to send messages via Zivver with Mail Submission. At this step, enter SMTP Password, not the password of a Zivver account.
    c. Optional: enable Send mobile number to secure the messages with the recipient’s mobile number. The recipient can read the message after entering an SMS code.
    d. Optional: enable Forward notes with notarun to Zivver to securely send notes to patients who have indicated they want to receive notes digitally.
    e. Enable the Active option to activate secure emailing via Zivver from Novadent.
  6. Click SAVE & CLOSE.

You can now send secure messages from Novadent. Repeat the steps above for each practitioner (declarant) who wants to send secure messages from Novadent.

Sending a secure message from Novadent

When secure emailing via Zivver is active, you will see a Zivver icon within Novadent in the places where you can send emails. Click this Zivver icon to send the message securely via Zivver.

Sending a patient record securely

Follow the steps below to securely send a patient record:

  1. Launch Novadent.
  2. Go to Employees.
  3. Select a declarant.
  4. Click DIGITAL.
  5. Open a patient record.
  6. Click the mailbox icon.
  7. Choose to send the patient record to the patient or over the patient.
  8. Click the Zivver icon to send the message securely.

Sending a letter or prescription securely

You can securely send a letter or prescription if an email address is known for the recipient. Click the Zivver icon to send the message securely.
