Troubleshoot missing Chrome extension

Occasionally the Chrome extension does not show in your browser after it has been deployed. This article describes some checks to help find the cause and solve this.

Cause 1: browser profile

If the Zivver Chrome extension is rolled out centrally by your Google workspace administrator, be sure that you are using Google Chrome with the browser profile that the extension was deployed to. You can check this by clicking on the icon left of the 3 vertical dots more_vert on the right top of your browser:

This should mention your email address that is part of the Google Workspace organization that the extension was deployed to.

Cause 2: browser not managed by Google Workspace

It could be the case that the Zivver Chrome extension is deployed correctly, but that Google Workspace is not managing your browser, and hence cannot perform the installation. In order to check this, visit chrome://settings/. At the top of this page, you should see a text: “Your profile is managed by organization.com”.

If you do not see this and you are logged in with your work email address that should be managed by your organizations Google Workspace, please contact your Google Workspace administrator, as they will need to Turn on browser management according to these instructions.

Cause unknown

It could be that other conditions make that your Zivver extension is not visible through central deployment in Google workspace. If you have tried the 2 solutions described above, but still don’t have the Zivver Chrome extension installed, you can also install it manually from the Chrome webstore. Please be sure that you have a Zivver account before installing the extension, otherwise you will experience login issues.
